These are for Senora K, to show that we really do geek out and take pictures when we make a fine-lookin' meal :) Exhibit A: Ridiculously easy Ravioli with Balsamic Brown Butter (a la Giada De Laurentiis): We've made these at least three times...note that this last time we didn't have any walnuts so we used almond slivers instead. I was still able to choke it down.
Exhibit B: Rachel Ray's Poached Halibut with Tomato and Basil: I'm not sure if that was actually halibut, but it was good and easy...very fresh and clean-tasting. And, of course, cheesey toast is the perfect complement to any meal that doesn't already contain cheese. We've only made this once, but it was quite good. I really, really like a fish stew that we've made about 8 bazillion times that I'd have to actually type in the recipe for because it came from Muscle & Fitness (It's muscular AND fit!) but I'll do that after I remember to take a picture of it.
Quite frankly, ours is better looking than the picture at Food Network. It's not as speedy as the ravioli or the poached fish, but it's wildly yummy. I splurged and got the thick-cut boneless pork chops the first time (I was scandalized by the price) but we've had it since with moderately thick chops and it's still good. Also, the Kroger doesn't carry black cherries in their own juices, so I just got the ones in syrup and rinsed those bitches off.
